On Friday 06 Nov 2020, the Official HOTO and Transfer of Authority Ceremony of the Nepalese Mechanized Company, Engineer Platoon and Level 1+ Hospital took place in Camp Faouar. The outgoing Commanding Officers of NMC III (Lt Col Jayson Shamsher  Jbr), NEP ENG ( Maj Arpan Neupane) and Level 1 + Hospital (Lt Col Dr Narayan Thapa) transferred their command with incoming COs of NMC IV ( Lt Col  Rajesh Khakurel), NEP ENG (Maj Surya Kanta Ghimire) and Level 1 + Hospital (Maj Dr Bikash Thapa). The ceremony was officiated by UNDOF's Deputy Force Commander Brig Gen Maureen O’Brien.

During the ceremony, all incoming commanders signed the Transfer of Authority documents and ceremonially exchanged the UN flag. The outgoing NMC CO Lt Col Jason Shamsher Jbr delivered his farewell speech as he extended farewell to the Mission Leadership team, his colleagues and fellow contingent members. 

Deputy Force Commander O'Brien extended her farewell to all outgoing troops, thanking them for their consistent and dedicated service to UNDOF. She also expressed her warm welcome and best wishes for the incoming NMC IV and NEP ENGR, highligthing the challenges and opportunities that lay ahead.
