Mr. Amedeo Micelli holds an academic background in Information and Communication Technology. He graduated in Computer Science in Italy in 1991 and joined the United Nations in 2002 at the United Nations Logistics Base in Brindisi, Italy. In this capacity, he led major ICT projects spanning across all UN peacekeeping missions.

He subsequently served in a similar capacity at the United Nations Global Service Centre in Valencia, Spain, before being reassigned to the United Nations Disengagement Observer Force in Syria in 2016 as Chief ICT and Deputy Chief of the Regional ICT Services for the Middle East.

Within UNDOF, Mr. Micelli later assumed the role of Chief of Operations and Resource Management, where he played a progressive supporting role in coordinating the Mission’s complex logistical operations related to the phased return to the Area of Separation following the 2014 evacuation.

Over the years, he has developed an extensive experience in the Middle East context.

As of March 2025, Mr. Micelli has been appointed Chief of Mission Support in UNDOF.
