NEPALI CONTINGENT MEDAL PARADE - 10 SEP 2021

On 10 September 2021, the Nepali Contingent (NEPCON-IX), Nepalese Mechanized Company (NMC-IV), Nepalese Engineer Platoon (NEP ENGR-V) and the Level 1+ Hospital (NEP MED-II) held a joint medal parade ceremony at UNDOF HQ, Camp Faouar. During the ceremony, the HOM/Force Commander  Lt. General Ishwar Hamal  UNDOF presented the UN Medal to all the officers and parade Team.

 The Head of Mission and Force Commander Lt. General Ishwar Hamal, Deputy Force commander (DFC) Brigadier General Anita Asmah, the  Chief Operations and Resource Management (CORM) Amedeo Micelli, The Chief of Staff (COS) Col Timothy Daly, UNDOF chief operation Officer, All branch heads and civilian staff of the Force Headquarters actively took part and accompanied the Drill display by the troops, medal pinning, photo session and finally lunch at NMC premises.

 Addressing the ceremony, the HoM/FC highlighted the contribution of all Nepali Contingents to the maintenance of the peace and stability on the Golan Heights, fulfilling the mission mandate to the highest standard. Moreover, he also extended his congratulations to the Nepali medical contingent for their professionalism in handling the two major outbreaks of COVID-19 in UNDOF.Click here for  more photographs of the ceremony.
