UNDOF STAFFs CONDUCT SSAFE TRAINING
Ten UNDOF international staff members attended a three days training at Camp Faouar as part of the United Nations’s Safe and Secure Approaches to Field Environments (SSAFE).
The three days training which commenced on Wednesday 19th February involved theoretical and practical phases. Training modules included Introduction & Overview, UN Security Management, Personal Security Awareness, Stress Management, UXOs and Mine Awareness, Radio Communication, Travel Security Procedures, Survival as a Hostage, Basic First Aid and Firefighting.
The UNDOF Fire Marshal provided participants with theoretical and practical phases of firefighting. Participants were pleased to attain new knowledge and skills from the SSAFE training especially in attending firefighting course for the first time.
