On Monday the 16th of Sept 2019  Brig Gen Maureen O Brien arrived in UNDOF HQ to take up the position of Deputy Force Commander UNDOF. Brig Gen O Brien was greeted on her arrival by the Chief of Staff Col Luis E Coitino . Brig Gen O Brien  then inspected an Honour Guard drawn from the 59th Inf Gp Irish Contingent UNDOF FRC. 

Brig Gen O Brien comes from Galway in Ireland and has served in the Irish Defence Forces all her career. No stanger to overseas service Brig Gen O Brien has completed 7 previous overseas missions all of which have been in operational roles . Brig Gen O Brien is an Infantry Officer  with vast operational and staff experience both at home and overseas . 

Brig Gen O Brien is looking forward to her new appointment in UNDOF as DFC and is also looking forward to meeting all within the UNDOF Family.
