Major Kamal K.C.

On 25th FEB 2021, NEPCON IX conducted CASEVAC/MEDEVAC Exercise in Mt. Hermon Complex in coordination with the Mission Training Cell, UNDOF. This exercise was incorporated with entire troops from all positions of NEPCON IX. The exercise scenario was developed around different types of casualties in three different locations with different medical conditions and emergencies. The snowmobiles (PistenBullys and Skidoo) were used for the evacuation.

The main objective of this Exercise was to refresh/sharpen the knowledge and enhance the professionalism of troops on the application of RRG and CASEVAC /MEDEVAC drills. The troops were enormously benefited by the exercise and sensitized in terms of real time scenario to deal with unforeseen eventualities during adverse and inclement weather in Mt. Hermon Complex. The motives of the exercise were to build confidence in troops and follow proper CASEVAC/MEDEVAC drills which were successfully achieved. The outcome of the exercise was indeed encouraging
