A Commemoration Ceremony for the Late HoM/FC Major General Francis Vib-Sanziri was organised in Camp Ziouani, Israel on 24 April and Camp Faouar, Syria on 26 April 2019, who suddenly passed away on Friday 19 April 2019 at Eliat, Israel.

The attendees for the ceremony at Camp Ziouani were Ghana’s Ambassador to Israel, Mrs Hannah Ama Nyarko and other Ambassadors Mrs Anjan Shakya from Nepal, Mr Enoch Pear Duchi from Nigeria, Mr Joseph Rutabana from Rwanda, Mr Martin Mwananbale from Zambia. Furthermore, Major General Cheryl Pearce, FC UNFICYP, Brigadier General Ian Graviety, COS UNIFIL, Ms Judy Hylton, Senior Advisor, UNTSO, Brigadier General Erez David Maisel and Lt Col Tal Sheffer from IDF and Lieutenant Colonel Fiifi Deegbe, CO GHANBATT UNIFIL.

UNDOF was represented by Mr Bernard Lee, CMS, Brigadier General Kuldip Pathak, DFC, Colonel Luis E Coitino, COS, and the UNDOF Contingents Commanders along with the Military and Civilian UN personnel based in Camp Ziouani.

Similarly, the attendees for the ceremony at Camp Faouar were Lieutenant General Carlos H. Loitey, Military Advisor, Department of peace Operations, Brigadier General Mazen Ibrahim Younes, Senior Syrian Arab Delegate (SSAD), Mr Bernard Lee, CMS, Brigadier General Kuldip Pathak, DFC, Colonel Luis E Coitino, COS, along with the Military and civilian UN personnel based in Camp Faoaur.
