The UN Medal Parade of Irish defence forces 66th Inf Group was held at Camp Faouar with grandeur.
"International Women's Day" was marked by UNDOF by celebrating the women's participation on highlighting the theme " DigitALL :Innovation and technology for gender equality". Women peacekeepers in UNDOF has contributed at all levels for the mission.
Diplomat's Day was celebrated on both sides "A" & "B" with the attendess of Ambassadors, Diplomats & DAs from various countries.
Under-Secretary General for Peace Operations Jeane Pierre Lacroix visited UNDOF from 22nd Jan to 25th Jan 2023. During his visit, he witnessed and praised the contributions of the UNDOF peacekeepers in maintaining the mandate and peace and stability in the region.
It gives me immense pleasure sharing with all members of UNDOF the honor and privilege of being appointed as the Head of Mission and Force Commander of UNDOF.
Finally, the time has come to bid adieu to the year 2020 and welcome the year 2021.
It is my great honor and privilege to be appointed as the Head of Mission and Force Commander of UNDOF, a mission with such a long and glorious history.
Welcome Address from Force Commander & Head of Mission UNDOF
As Force Commander & Head of Mission I would like to extend a warm welcome to all our guests attending the United Nations Disengagement Observer Force (UNDOF) Diplomat’s Day.
The United Nations Disengagement Observer Force (UNDOF) was established on 31 May 1974 and it is a great honor for me to assume the leadership of this UN mission on the 15 March 2016 at a very challenging period in UNDOFs existence.
