UNDOF HoM/FC Major General Ishwar Hamal Visited NEPCON-VIII

On 7August 2020, the UNDOF Head of Mission and Force Commander (HoM/FC) Major General Ishwar Hamal visited NEPCON-VIII. NEPCON-VIII is responsible for the operational activities in Sector North and has its HQ at Hermon Base (NEPCON-VIII HQ). It also has four other UNPs.

The HoM/FC was received with a Guard of Honor in Position 12 A. The Commanding Officer Lieutenant Colonel Madan Neupane briefed the HoM/FC on the Operational Roles and Capabilities, Training, Logistics, Medical Capabilities and Welfare of the unit. The HOM/FC also had separate ground briefings in all the UNPs by the respective base commanders. The NEPCON-VIII troops displayed Rock Craft demonstration to the visiting delegates.

The HoM/FC addressed all the NEPCON-VIII personnel in all positions. He commended the performance of the NEPCON in the Hermon Complex and further encouraged the troops to fulfill the mandate of the mission with the same dedication, devotion and enthusiasm.
