The Irish Contingent in UNDOF held its medal parade on the 17th of March in Camp Ziouani. FC/HoM Maj-Gen Jai Shanker Menon was invited to inspect the parade and present medals to troops by the Commanding Officer Lt Col Mary Carroll. The Irish Minister with Responsibility for Defence Mr. Paul Kehoe TD and the Irish Deputy Chief of Staff (Operations) Maj-Gen Kieran Brennan also presented UNDOF service medals on parade. This date also coincided with St Patricks Day which is a Irish Holiday celebrated worldwide in all Irish communities. The event was well attended by all contingents including members of the local communities.
