VISIT OF CHIEF OF STAFF COL MARTIN ALVAREZ TO NEPCON

On 24th JAN 20, Chief of Staff Col Martin Alvarez, UNDOF visited NEPCON AOR, Sector North. He was accompanied by UNDOF-SSO-COPS Lt Col Jayendra K.C. and MA TO COS Capt Conrado Martinez. During the visit, visitors were welcomed by NEPCON CO Lt Col Madan Neupane and NEPCON Operation Officer Maj Ajay Kumar Adhikari briefed the team about the operational situation of the AOR, roles of the unit, training, logistics and challenges of NEPCON. The visitor team stayed overnight in NEPCON HQ, HERMON BASE and continued their visit to HERMON SOUTH and HERMON HOTEL including the demonstration of ICE CRAFT in Hermon Base on 25th JAN 20. During the location visit of COS all the position commander ground briefed him. He was highly impressed by the performance of the NEPCON in mountains and appreciated the morale and positivity of NEPCON troops along with the professionalism.
