Nepali contingents members & Staff Officers were honored with UN medal by HoM/FC Major General Nirmal Kumar Thapa and leadership of UNDOF at a ceremony held at Mt. Hermon. Currently, NEPCON is located at Mt Hermon which is also the UN highest manned position in world. Similarly, NEPCON, Nepali Mechanised company, Level1+ hospital, Nepali Engineers Platoon & Close Protection Unit are located at Camp Faouar.The contribution of Nepali Contingents began on 18th July 2013 following the escalation of internal conflicts in Syria when 130 troops from NEPBATT UNIFIL were redeployed to UNDOF. Since then, Nepali troops has contributed immensely for the sake of peace in Golan region.
