Chief of Staff Col Timothy Daly
Col Timothy Daly (Ireland) arrived to UNDOF in March 2021 to undertake a 12 month Tour of Duty as Chief of Staff. He takes over the role from Col Martin Alvarez (Uruguay), who recently departed the mission.
On the 26th March 2021, Irish Defence Forces soldiers serving with the United Nations Disengagement Observer Force (UNDOF) in Syria were presented with their UNDOF service medal by Force Commander UNDOF, Lieutenant General Ishwar Hamal.
On 30th Mar 2021, Head of Mission /Force Commander Lt Gen Ishwar Hamal had a meeting with H.E. Mrs. Hanna Ama Nyarko, Ambassador of Republic of Ghana to Israel, accompanied by Mr.
Camp Faouar witnessed the Medal Presentation Ceremony of the third rotation of the INDCON Logistic Coy on 24th March 2021.
October 18, 2011 - The situational update and UNDOF outlook for the diplomats and military attachés accredited to the mission host nations has been a tradition for many years.
August 31, 2011 – The UNTSO Chief of Staff and Head of Mission MGen Juha Kilpiä visited UNDOF. He met with the Force Commander UNDOF MGen Natalio C. Ecarma III and was familiarized with the UNDOF Area of Responsibility.
September 11, 2011 - LtGen Othmar Commenda, the Chief of General Staff of the Austrian Armed Forces visited UNDOF and supervised the Austrian peacekeepers on the Golan Heights.
October 24, 2011 - The UN Day was established to highlight the aims and achievements of the United Nations. The day marks the anniversary of the entry into force in 1945 of the UN Charter. The annual day of recognition has occurred since 1948.
August 17, 2011 – On Wednesday the A-Side Liaison Office hosted the annual Peacekeeping Forces Sports event 2011 at the Canada Sports Center in Metula.
August 23, 2011 - UNDOF set yet another milestone in its mandate of keeping the peace in the Golan by providing the latest peacekeeping facility - the best of its kind ever constructed.
